1 can (300 mL) condensed milk
1/4 brown sugar
water (for steaming)
You will need
3 flan molds
1. For caramel, mix together the sugar and a little bit of water. Stir continuously until the sugar caramelizes. Immediately pour the caramelized sugar into prepared individual flan molds.Just make sure the caramel spread in the flan molds.
2. Separate the egg yolks from egg white. In a bowl, mix together the egg yolks beaten, condensed milk and vanilla extract. Pour the mixture into the prepared flan molds containing the caramel.
3. Place a steamer in a large saucepan. Pour in water to just below the steamer; bring to boil.
4. Cover the molds with aluminum foil and arrange it properly into the steamer. Steam until it firm.
Tips: Refrigerate for at least 5 hours.
