Yes! The owner of the blog The Misty Lady is my twin sister, which sometimes some of our posts are almost the same (same location actually). To the curious bloggers, readers, friends and writers out there who have been asking and wondering how am I related to the misty lady. It’s true, she’s my twin sister!
I am 20 years old. I grew up in Siargao Island, then moved to Manila at the age of 12 (well, 11 turning 12). The day I left home, I said to my parents “Mama, Papa I’m leaving for good”. With just a bag on my back, with bus and ferry tickets, I took the courage to travel from Mindanao to Luzon. That’s when I decided I wanted to find myself and lucky me, I found it on the road. I’m a woman full of dreams, laid-back, crazy sometimes, humorous and kinda funny to be with. Things can’t live and travel without? Camera, laptop, watch and my twin sister. I dreamed to be a solo traveler,(un)fortunately, I always have my twin sister with me in all my travels so I settled to be called twin traveler/stranger 🙂
I’m a Filipina. I’m nice and sweet like every girl in this world. Fashionable but cultured. I follow rules and regulations. Truly and fully embraced the culture of Filipino though I’m living with American citizens (grandparents) that is why I decided to make this blog to show off my beautiful country, the Philippines, and to prove that travel is not for rich people only but also to those who have the passion and courage to find their happiness on the road. I want to travel every part of the Philippines. Okay, I’m not rich. I got and get the opportunities to travel because of my grandparents and for academics (for school).
Then all of a sudden, I fell in love with cooking and baking. I love to cook very much! My grandma once said to me that “If you know how to eat, you must know how to cook”. Grandma taught me how to cook and bake. Yeah, I admit that my cooking is not that good like you see in the cooking shows but I’m trying my best to make it more appetizing (captures) for you guys 🙂 Bon Appetit!
I have an identical twin sister (it’s our childhood secret). Don’t be confuse with my pesky twin sister. Don’t ever fall in her trap. Sometimes, we use to borrow each identity to confuse other people (it’s kinda bit crazy but it’s fun). Some people didn’t know that I have an identical twin sister so if you accidentally/intentionally read this, don’t you ever dare spread it, okay? Okay.
I love classic, photography, music, nature and life. Obsessed with cars, horses and weddings. I love sunrise and sunset, indie films, and kids.
I love sports…extreme sports!
which makes me a fitness junkie! LOL.
If you think that I’m a spoiled brat, of course I’m not! I do know how to do all the household chores and definitely know how to handle myself. I’m an independent woman, but I live in my grandma’s house because she’s now too old to do some stuffs on her own. And I can’t afford to rent my own apartment. Haha.
I love traveling around the world meeting different races and experiencing diversities of culture and religion. I want to make a difference in my own way. I want to prove to everybody that a young female traveler like me can do (travel) it too! I learned different languages and dialects because of travelling. I know how to speak Spanish, Tagalog, Cebuano (all dialects of Bisaya), English, currently studying and learning Italian and French 🙂 My ultimate dream: Become a volunteer of UNICEF. Work with great philanthropists. Help some orphanages and foundations (someday, my twin sis and I will have our own foundation and orphanage) and indigenous people especially in the Philippines. Create jobs for my fellowmen. Witness a miracle. Save people one day at a time!
I’m a frank person. I’m not the type of person who always says good things just to please everybody. After all, I’m not living other peoples’ expectations and demands. I got rejected before, but it doesn’t stop me from trying.
I also accept my wrongdoings. I’m not perfect. I’m just human. I fail, I laugh, I cry, I fart, I love, I appreciate, I breakdown, I grow and I will die.I don’t hold grudges. Life is too short to worry all the problems in this mad world. YOLO and carpe diem sweetie 🙂
I’m a musician. I play the piano and violin (knows how to play the guitar, flute, organ and lyre also) I also write songs. I have my own style. I accept tutorial, gig and other part-time job for music as long as it’s legal. About the payment? We’ll talk about it later or maybe I will do it for free!
Lastly, Zoelie Sapphire is not my real name. It’s my pen name. My real name is Maika Nautan. See you when I see you.
I’m a good granddaughter by day, blogger-photographer-foodie by afternoon, accounting student by night and (self-proclaimed) writer by midnight. Part-timer musician. That’s my “The usual”.
